Currently, our organisation is using a service account authentication because Fivetran requires an AD account to establish connection between fivetran and Dynamics 365.

However, according to our updated security policies, we would need migrate to establishing the connection using an API Key instead of the account based authentication. This is a more secure way as compared to account based authentication.
