Connector Improvement: Salesforce - Generate alerts on nearing/reachingAPI limit

From the case: "I have discussed your inquiries with our engineering team, who confirmed the following information.
Currently, the Salesforce connector does not issue a warning in the Alert section or send an email notification when the API usage of the Salesforce instance surpasses 90% of its API rate limit."
However, when the API usage exceeds 90%, the connector stops syncing, so we ended up in a situation where we hadn't pulled any fresh data for several hours but didn't know anything was wrong until a user alerted us.
Can these be generated as alerts so emails go out and we know there is a problem?
