At the moment only the token is passed into the script via stdin. Is it possible to have the user as well? Maybe in the form of key:value pair or json?

i.e

token:<token>,user:<user>

May be worth passing in all location attributes at the same time to give the user freedom to work out which namespace or keystore to use depending on the location.
