Connector Improvement: Request for more granularity to configure RBAC on a Connector UI webpage
Hello,
On a given Connector’s page, say Oracle Generic connector as an example, we would like to “lock-down” other group of users (Super Users) from modifying any aspects of the connector connection details (this is left best for the Fivetran Admins or a Connector Admin) but rather, give these other group members (Super Users) the ability to select which Source schemas, Source tables, Source Views, to be ingested by that Connector, from the Schema webpage.
In addition to giving these “Super Users” the ability to select the objects from the Schema webpage that they wish to be injested, it would follow logically that we also provide them with the ability to select a schedule “Sync Frequency” drop-down value, of their choice.
Currently, the Sync Frequency drop-down resides under the Setup page, however, if the Setup page gets locked-down, as per the initial request, “Super Users” will not be able to establish any data ingestion pipelines successfully, on their own, without contacting the Fivetran System Admins/Connector Admins.
Thanks!
