We are looking at an API's to manage the schema of a connector similar to UI. We would like to block a column or a table with an API endpoint. The current endpoint doesn't support blocking columns in a system table. Could you kindly add the support for the same ?

Thanks for the feedback! How would you expect this to work for a system table? What if the schema is effectively broken by blocking a system table/column?
