Connector Improvement: Pausing When Missing Archivelog Is Detected
For the High-Volume Oracle SAP For Netweaver Connector (or any Oracle connector). We are forced to groom Oracle archivelogs out of the filesystems and maintain a 24 hour window of available logs to the Fivetran Connector. This works well under normal conditions. But when the connector goes down, it may take over a day to correct the situation and by that point the connector detects missing archivelogs and forces a historical sync on all tables, This can take days to complete. It would be better is the following occurred.
When the system detects a missing logfile it pauses the connector and notifies us so we can restore the missing logs from a backup location. Then we can resume the connector and have it try again without forcing a historical sync.
