Connector Improvement: Custom connector table level resync

Table level re-sync (historical sync) is not supported in custom connector. The alternative currently is either creating one connector per table or to contact support to reset state of a specific table. It would be nice if we can clear the state of a table via the Fivetran UI rather than have to contact support.

    Hi Crystal,

    Can you tell me more about the connector you were working with please and what you were trying?

    We have just shipped a feature that allows you to use the Fivetran API to view and update the state of any of our function connectors. Where you able to try that feature out as I think it might have been able to help you.

    Hi Alison,

    Amazing. We have a custom connector for a google cloud function which extracts a number of tables from a rest API. Issue we have was not able to update the state for a particular table, hence we're not able to perform a table level resync without having to resync the other tables within the connector. 

    The beta feature you've mentioned is perfect for us. I will give it a go and let you know.
