Connector Improvement: Snowflake Warehouse is an Option in Connection Setting
PlannedHello,
Current issues:
-A destination ties to a snowflake role and can only ties to one warehouse. Snowflake uses warehouse to track cost. To split snowflake cost to connection level unless each destination is created.
-To split a destination out to multiple destinations to assign different roles and warehouses, new connections and new data initialization need to be implemented. It can be very time-consuming and very costly.
Suggestion:
If a warehouse is an option at each connector, no connection modification is needed and snowflake cost can be tracked down at each connection level. That would eliminate all the cost, time, and efforts to recreate the connections with new destinations.
Thanks.

Hi Jenny,
Tracking costs in Snowflake is an important capability, and we’ve been exploring different approaches. We’re currently working on a proposal to associate a query tag with each connector and table. This tag could then be joined with the Platform Logs connector to group and analyze all connector-related queries. Let us know if this approach would work for you.
Best,
