Connector Improvement: Connector Improvement: Shopify - Add 'landing_site' field to Order table - Previous answer not useful
CompletedHello-
I am writing to follow up on a previous feature request where the follow up from fivetran never got a response, and the response from fivetran was not ultimately useful to solve the problem.

Hi Michael,
Sorry for the delayed response. Does the 'landing_site_ref' field in the ORDER table contain the data you're looking for? You can find more information about this field in Shopify's API docs.
My comments:
I am seeing the same issue. In fact, on what I am working on, landing_site_ref is null constantly. I just want a field that contains the entire URL the person landed on, which is part of the shopify orders API. Not sure why it is not part of fivetran's data pulls.
"landing_site_ref" only pulls if it says "source=" ... but doesn't pull from "utm_source=" , so without having the entire landing_site url, we are potentially missing a lot of info.
.....
updates
We really need to have the full landing site url. Fivetran is leaving off a critical field for no apparent reason. The current workaround would be to set up my own job to connect to the shopify api, for the sole purpose of grabbing this one field.
In this instance, there may be additional fields in the URL string that I would want to parse that are not part of the UTMs. This is a widespread use case.

Hi Jon,
The required field is available via Shopify’s GraphQL API. We offer a GraphQL-only version of the Shopify connector that supports this field in the
landing_pagecolumn inCUSTOMER_VISIT.We can enable this connector for your account. Note that the GraphQL connector introduces schema changes compared to the legacy REST-based connector, so we recommend reviewing both schemas to ensure they align with your requirements: Shopify connector schemas. The GraphQL schema is listed first under “This schema applies to all Fivetran accounts created on or after August 1, 2025.”
Let us know if you’d like to move forward, and we can help enable the GraphQL version.
Thanks,Sandeep

Hi Jon,
Thank you for your valuable feedback. I want to confirm that we already support landing_page, landing_page_html, and utm_parameters in the customer_visit table for both first and last visits since August 2023. You can find more details in our documentation here: Fivetran Shopify Connector Changelog. Please let us know if this addresses your needs or if you have any further questions.
Best,
Sandeep
