Hi all - Thank you so much for your interest and patience on this connector. We hit some roadblocks during development which slowed the process but we are nearing the end of development. You should be receiving an email in the next few weeks from me with an invite to join the Private Preview on this connector.

    Me too (for Redshift)

Hi Amarnath, we only support a subset of the applications available in Dynamics 365 through our connector:

    Customer Service
    Field Service
    Marketing
    Sales
    Talent

Can you elaborate more on your use cases for the Business Central application data? That will help us prioritize this task.

i understand that currently only below list of applications are supported, but i am looking to extract data from another MS application called business central which supports finance operations. Link for more details: https://dynamics.microsoft.com/en-us/business-central/overview/

We need to extract data from this system and load into snowflake for reporting and analytics needs, also generate financial statements, financial close reporting needs, executive reporting etc.,

Similar to your Netsuite connector I also need one for Business Central (pull in transactions, accounts, dimensions, ...).

Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is the re-brand of Microsoft Dynamics NAV that you do have a connector for.  The difference that NAV was an on-premise system so you were probably able to access the SQL database directly.  Business Central is primarily a cloud-based version of NAV so there is no database to access, only API's that can provide table-level access.  (There is on on-premise version of Business Central, but I'm interested in the cloud version.)

Your comment above regarding the connector you do have is about Microsoft Dynamics CRM or CE, more of a customer and marketing platform than an ERP system.  (Microsoft does not make this easy with using "Dynamics" across a lot of different systems.)  ERP systems are often product-centric and include modules like purchasing and manufacturing.

My use case is to feed a data warehouse with purchasing data, manufacturing data, and master data (items, vendors, etc.) for a data warehouse and dashboarding application.  Just need "select *" data feeds from the tables in the Business Central ERP system and then we do all the transformations and modelling once we have the data.

I too need this connector. Rather than doing Customer API development with the B.C. Partner. Any idea if this is gonna to be done?

We need this as well, please.  I see it flagged as planned. Hopefully, that doesn't mean, "Someday".

Is there an update here, maybe?

hello @Erin where can we sign up to receive invitation for preview?

Hi @Erin, that sounds promising, thanks! Following up on Juan's comment: Is there anything we need to do to get the mail? Thanks!

Is this ticket for 'Microsoft Business Central' (on-prem) or 'Microsoft Business Central Online' (SaaS)?
Does fivetran partner with comp. such as Microsoft to create a beind the scenes connection to a SaaS service? Because as I understand the new SaaS product does not allow us to access the server ourselves and enable CDC!

Hi Anne - Great question! This connector is for the SaaS offering for Business Central. We connect and sync data using the REST API's made available from Microsoft. Are you interested in testing this out in Private Preview?
