Connector Improvement: Workday history mode
Not plannedAn option to capture history for the Workday connector. Each workday connector currently pulls a report from a single api endpoint in workday and it would be helpful to be able to choose to track history for a report.

Since the workday connector uses raas reports instead of connecting to workday directly, we have a lot of limitations.
1) Some business objects require report prompts, such as fiscal year, period, etc. We cannot create a URL that pulls all the data. Instead, we need to update the URL every month.
2) raas cannot export more than 2gb of xml. We have an example of a only 500K rows producing more than 2gb xml because of how space inefficient xml is.
The above limitations are causing us to not use fivetran and instead build custom python code to loop through all of the fiscal years, periods for the prompt issue... or pull the data in even smaller chunks for the size issue.
Having a connector that hits the workday api directly (not the report api) would fix all of this.
