Transformations: Allow dbt to connect to customer hosted GitHub Enterprise instances
AnsweredConnectors allow use of an ssh tunnel to connect to customer hosted DBs (or equivalent on a customer's VPC in AWS, for example). It would be great if the same support existed for the dbt transformation's git connector to allow connections to a customer hosted GitHub Enterprise instance.

That's a cool idea! It's most likely to be addressed by the dbt open source community. We contribute to that community and will look at whether this is on the radar. I'm afraid there's no time table yet

Thanks for looking into this and your response. I don't know if it was clear, but this is around the Fivetran dbt transformation feature's support for dbt projects stored in GitHub Enterprise behind a customer firewall. We're already using dbt internally with our GHE, but for tools like Fivetran that live outside our firewall we need to connect through a tunnel for access to any internal resource. The approach connectors take with ssh tunnels works fine for us for DB connections, we'd love to have the same option in the Fivetran dbt transformation's git connectivity (and we could reuse our same tunnel).
