Connector Improvement: Facebook Ads to include Product Catalogue tables, provides significant business value

Hi FiveTran,

I had been through your documentation in search of our data requirements, looking for the following information and unclear which Facebook/Meta connector would best but select factebook_ads as a default.

Product catalog tables. These are needed to track the products that are advertised in catalog based Carousel advertisements. The specific sections of the graph API that is of interest is:

Specific requirements:

Product_catalog:

  • Capture all fields

  • Capture the edges product sets, products, categories, product_groups to link to the tables below

Product Set:

  • Capture all fields

  • Capture the edges products

Product Item:

  • Capture all parameters

  • Select fields:

    • id

    • name

    • all image url fields

    • custom data

    • description

    • category

    • color

    • expiration_date

    • fb_product_category

    • images

    • importer_name

    • manufacture_*

    • product_catalog

    • product_group

    • product_type

    • product_feed

    • price

    • retailer_id

    • retailer_product_group_id

    Luke from the Product team here. Thanks for submitting this feature request and for providing all the details on where we can find this data. 

    I've added a request to our backlog for the team to review. We'll prioritize this based on the other requests in our backlog, based on customer demand. So far, it looks like you're the only one who has requested this data.
