We use GCP as an external logging system, and we have created notifications/alerts based on the Fivetran logs that come into GCP. We are creating our connectors via automation, and we are experiencing a problem where sometimes there are connection setup/test errors, but these errors do not get sent to our GCP logs, so we never get notified about them. Based on what I have heard from Fivetran Customer Support, this is by design: setup test logs do not get sent to external logging systems.

As we scale up our system, there will be more and more connectors, and will become a bigger problem if we don't get notified about these errors.
