Other: AdaptDDL - Support DDL changes for Snowflake table with default sequence column

Hi,
We are using action AdaptDDL in our environment. Source is Sql server, target Snowflake.
We have extra column on a target table defined with default sequence.
create or replace TABLE TEST (
ROW_NUM NUMBER(38,0),
PAT_ID VARCHAR(18) NOT NULL DEFAULT '',
PAT_NAME VARCHAR(200),
...
AUDIT_CUR_ROW_ID NUMBER(38,0) DEFAULT SEQ_TEST.NEXTVAL,
primary key (PAT_ID)
                      );
We can't get AdaptDDL to work when changing datatype on a column in a source - target table dropped and recreated with new structure, but no data.
 
We need to be able to use AdaptDDL action when column added/dropped/datatype change on a source.

Below are AdaptDDL options that we used. Add/Drop column is working with this setup and keeping column on a target with correct sequence, but datatype change not working as expected.

    Hi Irina,

    Clearly HVR does not work as it should in this case.

    You ask specifically for data type change. In my experience a data type change is highly unusual. In fact, databases often expose restrictions on data type changes because there is incompatibility between data types (or the database only allows a data type change when the table is empty). Is your request driven by an actual use case that you have experienced?

    Yes,  we potentially  will have the case when data type will be changed during EPIC releases.
