Connector Improvement: Add configuration property to set backward_sync_limit to zendesk support connector
AnsweredThe initial historical sync with a zendesk connector tends to execute substantially longer than other connectors due to API rate limits imposed by Zendesk. Adding a configurable option to limit how far back in time individual tables are synched could help alleviate some of this pain since many Zendesk environments contain several years of support tickets, much of which may not be useful due to its age.
The current approach of needing to open a support ticket to get this property set each time is onerous and impractical.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for raising this. The ability to limit historical data sync is available for Zendesk at the connector level using the Historical Time Frame Limit option on the setup page. You can also use row filtering for individual tables, though that may not fully address your rate limit concerns.
We will track demand for this on the ticket and keep this thread updated with any progress.
Thanks, Vignesh
