Connector Improvement: Zendesk connector missing tables
AnsweredHi!
It seems from the Zendesk API documentation that they surface information about macros, triggers, and automations, but these objects are not currently brought in by the Zendesk connector on their own. Would it be possible to add tables to the connector that return records for all macros, triggers, and automations that get created in Zendesk?
Macros: https://developer.zendesk.com/api-reference/ticketing/business-rules/macros/
Triggers: https://developer.zendesk.com/api-reference/ticketing/business-rules/triggers/
Automations: https://developer.zendesk.com/api-reference/ticketing/business-rules/automations/
These seem similar in structure to how the connector currently brings in SLA policy data: https://developer.zendesk.com/api-reference/ticketing/business-rules/sla_policies/
Thank you!

Hi Zoe,
Thanks for the request! These seem reasonable. We can take a look at these. Would you mind sharing some context around the value of the analysis that would be possible with these tables? Intuitively, I would think that any automations could be measured based on the result of the action they take. Are you trying to review at a lower level / with more specificity? -
Hey Ray,
Thanks for getting back to me. The value is being able to introspect these before they are used, or identify any macros, triggers, or automations that have never been used. It would also be helpful in gathering data about the item directly, rather than how it was used.
