Connector Improvement: Allow Table Blocking for All Tables in Greenhouse Connector
AnsweredCurrently you are unable to block 95% of the tables with the Greenhouse connector. There are a bunch of tables that contribute to a high amount of MAR that are completely useless for our organization. I am denied the ability to uncheck the box on these tables due them being a 'core table' which simply doesn't make sense for the types of data being stored in them. For instance, there's a table that stores email addresses and instead of the candidate table just having an email address field, there's an email address table that has candidate id. So if you want a candidates email address you just join the primary key of the candidate table to the foreign key field on the email address table. There's no reason we need this field for our reporting purposes and it's PII. However, it's doubling our MAR rate for every Candidate that comes into the system because every candidate has an email. This is also the case for phone number of which every candidate has. So that's triple the MAR we're paying for that we should be able to easily remove. The initial trial yielded a negligible amount for this connector and now it's tracking towards 90% of our total cost.

Hi Caleb -
Thanks for submitting this feature request, I think it is a very valuable improvement. It's not currently planned but I will take it up with engineering to discuss and add it to our backlog.
In the meantime, if the PII fields are not Primary Keys or Foreign Keys, you should be able to block and hash them in the schema today.
I will reach out when i have more details here.
Best,
Erin

I 100% agree with Caleb's argument that these tables which we can't deselect are contributing high numbers for our MAR. I request Fivetran dev guys please plan to add this feature to block unnecessary tables from sync, Thanks.

I absolutely agree with Caleb's point. It would be really helpful to have a feature that lets us allow table blocking for all the tables. Since this isn't available, our MAR has increased exponentially leading to exponential increase in cost as well.
Would love to know if there's some kind of work around for this. Thanks!
