Connector Improvement: Fivetran authentication using username , password and SSH key pair

Hi Fivetran Team,
We have currently in a situation where we are not able to connect to SFTP server using Fivetran SFTP connectors.
Reason : Our merchant wont accept/import Fivetran public key but instead they insist on importing their SSH key pairs into the ingestion system. Now Fivetran connectors does not provide a way to configure these key pairs.
I would like to request a additional field while configuring SFTP connectors where Fivetran would accept SSH key pair along with credentials(username and password) to securely connect SFTP server.

    Hi Deepak,

    Thank you for letting us know about this merchant. Do you have any more information about why they have taken this position?

    We can definitely look at what it would take to enable a Fivetran connector to accept a key pair, however I think it would take a large number of upvotes to justify - given that using our keys allows a much easier connector setup experience because we can can take on the work to create and mange those keys for you.
