Issue
The following error appears while creating a custom report. There is no visible option to select the segments.date field.

Resolution
segments.date is a mandatory field that needs to be selected first when creating the report.
The segments.date field may not be available if incompatible fields are selected first. You can test this out by using the Google Ads Query Builder.
