Fivetran syncs Amplitude data created on July 16, 2014 and later, because Amplitude changed the composition of the primary key on that date.
The primary key for the
EVENT table is composed of the parameters
client_event_time. Amplitude introduced the
client_event_time parameter on July 16, 2014. Earlier events do not have the
client_event_time parameter, which means we cannot form the primary key for them and thus cannot deduplicate the data. Other tables (except
EVENT_TYPE) depend on the
EVENT table. Therefore, to maintain data integrity, we sync Amplitude data from July 16, 2014 onwards.
