Issue

While setting up a Twitter Ads connector, the setup tests fail with the following error:

RuntimeException: The client application making this request does not have access to Twitter Ads API

Answer

You may need to wait for Twitter to approve your Ads API application. You will receive an acceptance email from Twitter regarding this. See the information from Twitter's docs below:

Acceptance of the Ads API Agreement is required for your application to be received and you will receive an email response within 7 business days.

Cause

The Twitter application does not have access to the Twitter Ads API. This is a prerequisite for the Twitter Ads connector - Step 3 of the Fivetran Set Up Guide.
